Interesting timing. there was lots of FDNY activity including smoke on that corner tonight in the building with the laundromat.

    I love synchronicity.

Great to see Chuan Yuan, where I sampled my first Szechuan food at the age of 15…and thought I was going to die from the heat. Up to then, I thought only girls could make me sweat from the inside out.

Great photo, seems to capture the particular character Montague Street held at one time.

Chuan Yuan, forgot all about that place – wonder when they closed?

I love to old photos of the Heights.
    anymore out there?

This could be me (walking left) in the photo. I lived at 57 Montague from late ’80 to May of ’83. My daughter, who just moved to Montague, thinks it’s me, but I’m on the fence.

cool photo. I moved to the Heights in 89 so as far back as that I remember that cheese place being a cosmetic like drug store and across the street was a pizza place (before it was corcoran) I didn’t even realize there was ever a meat market there (or that’s what it looks like the sign says)
