The folks at SliceNY checked out the recently opened Reginella at 193 Atlantic Avenue. In an act of courage they tried the Hot Dog and and French Fry pizza. The verdict: “this creation is just not right.” No word on if they chased it with a Crestor Smoothie:
Slice NY: The hot dog and french fry pizza is called the Reginella Special. Giving the house name to such a pie is a pretty bold move, so I asked what the story was behind this pizza. Was it just a gimmick to get people talking?
“It’s a pizza they do in Naples,” said the pizza man on duty. “They do it all over there, and the owner here is from Naples.”

Yeah, right. Naples, W. Virginia.
actually they do make them in Naples, Italy.

Whatever. It’s things like this that make me glad i don’t mix milk and meat.
Umm yeah in Naples Italy. It is the first place I ever saw it and could not believe it myself but it was everywhere. That is actually why I did a google search on hotdog and french fry pizza naples and found this blog.

I’d eat it. But I also like Monte Cristos with syrup, fried pickles and boiled peanuts.
