Apart from the continuing lack of R train service between Brooklyn and Manhattan, there are no planned changes affecting service at any local stations this coming weekend. The R train to and from Queens has been extended to Whitehall Street in lower Manhattan, and the Brooklyn section of the R continues to run between Jay Street/Metro Tech and Bay Ridge. According to Ben Kabak at 2nd Ave. Sagas, work on the tunnel between Whitehall and Jay streets, including the Court Street station, is likely to take most if not all of the remainder of December.
The following week, Manhattan bound A trains will be diverted to the F line between Jay Street/Metro Tech and West 4th Street in Manhattan from 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. starting Monday evening, December 10, and going to Friday morning, December 14. There will be no 3 trains running in either direction between 12:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, but 2 trains will be running as usual.
