Theater 2020 to Present Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors

Theater 2020, Brooklyn Heights’ own professional theater company, will present an innovative production of Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors, featuring “five men, five women… and five puppets in a riotous romp of mistaken identity,” at the Cranberry Street Theater Space, Assumption Church, 55 Cranberry Street.

Performances will be on May 4-6, 10-13, 24-27 and June 1 and 2. Thursday performances begin at 7 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8, and Sunday at 3. Admission is $18, cash at the door. To make reservations, e-mail theater2020@gmail.com or call 718-624-3614. More information is here.

    A full Shakespeare play for $18 in 2012 … from professionals. I think that’s a bargain. A high school fundraiser these days would likely cost $7 more and (unless your own kid was in it) be a lot less entertaining. Break a leg, Theater 2020!!

    So wonderful to know that the BEST, Funniest, most enjoyable version of COMEDY OF ERRORS is going to have an extended life in the out-of-doors. Very well done with a not-easy comedy! Keep up the great work!
