Weekend Subway Diversions

Brooklyn (Coney Island) bound F trains will be diverted to the A and C tracks from West 4th Street in Manhattan to Jay Street/Metrotech from 12:01 a.m. this Saturday, June 25 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, June 27. This means the Brooklyn bound F will be stopping at High Street, but not at York Street in DUMBO. To get to Brooklyn from the Lower East Side F stops (East Broadway, Delancey/Essex, Second Avenue, and Broadway-Nassau) take a Manhattan/Queens bound F to West 4th and change there to a Brooklyn-bound A. C, or F to High or Jay streets (and, if you really need to get to York Street, change for a Manhattan bound F at Jay). As it has been for some time, there will be no service on the uptown A and C lines all weekend to the following Upper West Side stations: 72nd, 81st, 86th, 96th, 103rd, 110th, and 116th streets. Your best bet is to take a 2. 3, or 1 local to a nearby stop on Broadway. Brooklyn bound A and C trains will be stopping at these stations as usual. For those traveling into Brooklyn to Park Slope or Prospect Heights (including the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Museum, and Brooklyn Public Library main branch), the Brooklyn bound 2, 3, and 4 trains will not be stopping at Bergen Street, Grand Army Plaza, or Eastern Parkway. To reach these stations, take a 2, 3, or 4 to Franklin Avenue, and change to a Manhattan bound 2, 3, or 4 back to the skipped station.
