Ditto on “Just a Neighbor”‘s inquiry.
AND…this is my first year in BH…how close to death would I be by sledding down Columbia Heights!? (I’ve been dreaming of it since I moved in)

Friends of mine hope to leave tomorrow for Italy. We’ll see…

    WNYC now saying 18″ – 2 feet.

Alanna, they used to do it years ago, but not recently. I don’t think it’s a good idea. Stick to “Squibb Hill”.

Alanna, when I was a kid, the alternate name for Columbia Heights was “Suicide Hill”. I’ll admit that I was fool enough to sled it (and it was an incredible rush) but I was also nearly killed as well. Of course, back in those days, it was a two way street, so you had to deal with drivers who, caught up in their own snow-blind loss of common sense, attempted to drive UP the hill.
