Tomorrow, Sunday, November 7, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m, the
Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, 55 Pierrepont Street (between Henry and Hicks) will present a craft workshop for kids. Drop in anytime during those hours, and your child can make toy animals from pompoms and pinecones, with ears made of vintage fabric. Children must be accompanied, and the suggested materials donation is $5.00. From 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., crafter Gloria Lanza-Bajo will demonstrate painting on silk; her handpainted scarves are for sale in the shop as well.
On Thursday, November 11, the Exchange will host a trunk sale featuring the jewelry of two Brooklyn designers, Lisa Detwiler and Marissa Alperin. (Photo and more text after the jump.)

The photo above shows the artist Bill Murphy with some of his etchings that are now on view and available for sale at the Exchange. This photo, and the one at the top of the post, were taken at the Exchange’s
Holiday Preview this past Thursday evening. We will publish a schedule of forthcoming exchange holiday craft events soon.
