The Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, at 55 Pierrepont Street (between Henry and Hicks) will present a “Holiday Preview” tomorrow (Thursday) evening, November 4, from six to eight. You may enjoy food and wine or soft drinks while perusing the Exchange’s new offerings of handcrafted toys, children’s and doll’s clothes, knick-knacks, porcelain, other gifts and holiday decorations. One lucky shopper will win a $100 door prize. (Disclosure: your correspondent’s wife is active as a volunteer with the Exchange, and our daughter works there on occasional weekends.)
Addendum: The Exchange is including six etchings and lithographs by artist Bill Murphy in the Holiday Preview. His work will be remain on exhibit and available for sale for a limited period of time. Murphy’s original etchings, lithographs and paintings are part of the permanent collections of The Brooklyn Museum, The New York Public Library, The British Museum, The Denver Art Museum, The National Baseball Hall of Fame, and others.
