Stuff to Do Halloween Weekend

BHB photo by C. ScalesWe’ve already told you about the Howl-O-Ween Doggie Parade (Saturday, 1-3 p.m. on the Promenade; gather at the Remsen Street entrance at 1:00) and the zombie walk over the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall to protest library funding cuts (assemble at the west end–nearest the Brooklyn Bridge–of Cadman Plaza Park at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday). There’s also the annual kids’ Halloween parade, sponsored by Brooklyn Heights Playgrounds. Bring your brood, in costume, to Pierrepont Playground, at Pierrepont Street and Columbia Heights, by 10:00 a.m. Saturday (rain date is same time Sunday; check the linked website for updates).

Addendum: See Josh G’s comment on this post for details about the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy Junior Committee’s All Hallow’s Eve Bash, to be held at One Brooklyn Bridge Park tomorrow (Saturday) night from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Tickets are available until midnight tonight (Friday), and can be purchased by going to the BBPC website.

Any chance for more party postings? With all due respect, most of the stuff posted caters to an older crowd, would love something for the few “younger” residents of the neighborhood, thanks.

What time do things get started on Garden Place?

  • http://selfabsorbedboomer.blogspot.com Claude Scales

da51: trick-or-treating usually starts when it gets dark, around six-ish.

  • Miss Lucy

Yes, what time should the little kids come out for trick or treating?
