The NY Post writes that Governor’s Island and the new Brooklyn Bridge Park are a super-fantastical smash hit this season:
NY Post: Among the prime reasons is the free ferry service unveiled two months ago at the new Pier 6 section of Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn Heights.
There have also been more concerts and cultural programs this summer on at Governors Island.
“Governors Island is one of New York City’s greatest free resources, and more New Yorkers are taking advantage of it than ever before,” said Mayor Bloomberg, who convinced the state this year to hand over control of both Governors Island and Brooklyn Bridge Park to the city.
