Caterer Kate Green Found Dead

The Brooklyn Eagle reports today on the death of Brooklyn Heights caterer Kate Green:

Brooklyn Eagle: Kate Green, daughter of Martha Green and niece of Anthony Manheim, was found dead in her Montague Street apartment on Sunday, according to a family spokesman. He said on Tuesday that an autopsy had yet to be filed, but that no foul play was suspected. She was 48.

Green was a lifelong Brooklynite. She attended Saint Ann’s School and owned her own catering company in the area. She was discovered by her roommate, Laura Tocchet, when she came home Sunday night…

A memorial service is planned for this Saturday, Feb. 1, 2:30 p.m. at the Heights Casino, 75 Montague St. [Full story]

    Very sad. A beautiful, beautiful girl when we were kids. Condolences to her family.

    This is certainly sad news. Although I did not know her, I spoke with her uncle not too long ago.

    For those interested in going to the memorial the date listed above seems to be incorrect. February 1 would be this Friday; Saturday is February 2. Obviously something is a little off.
