La Pizzetta Now Cafe Tua

A few commenters mentioned that La Pizzetta [145 Atlantic Avenue] would soon be under new management and undergo a name change.  In December, the eatery ran into some plumbing related DOH issues.

Today Brownstoner reports:

Another update for the stretch of Atlantic between Henry and Clinton: La Pizzetta, which opened in the fall of ’08, is out and Casa Tua is in. We spotted the owners posting the new signage last week, and the brick oven pizza spot was scheduled to open yesterday.

I actually liked this place and hubby and I ate there 2-3x/month. We live right across the street so it’s convenient. Their Caesar salad and pizzas were pretty decent and the service was always good. I even like the cheesy italian pop they play :) I hope the new management will only make it better, not worse. I simply can’t tolerate another empty storefront on that side of the block. With Mezcals gone, there are 3 empty in a row and 3 others empty on the same side just between Clinton & Henry!

    Is this another “Nando” space?
