Addendum: Thanks to reader AEB for alerting me to some nice photos on Brownstoner made by someone who was on the Park grounds.
Park Progress: Thirty-third Report–It’s beginning to look a lot like a park!
This photo, taken on Sunday, November 9, from the western tower of the Brooklyn Bridge, shows trees and greensward on the riverside flank of Pier 1.
On Monday, November 10, workers were laying sod on the eastern flank of Regina Ridge, as seen fom the Promenade. More photos and text follow the jump.
The removal of Pier 1′s platform from above the pilings at the southern end continues. Note the gaps btween the pilings marking the location of the subway tunnels on the “A” and “C” line.
The “spiral pool” at the foot of Pier 2 is getting a floor. This pool is apparently intended as a launching place for kayaks or canoes.

Brownstoner also has some nice shots of the progress.
Copycat.
This is great! I can’t wait to use it!
Copycat? The Where, you didn’t really say that, did you? Not at the risk of copyright infringement suits from The What, the banned and The Who? Man, you’re truly a risk taker.
Nice job Claude, as always. This is progressing nicely. All this time, I thought the Where was the What.
…or The Why….
The Who: Thanks. Could you teach me the chords to “Baba O’Reilly”?
Anybody catch the views from the new pier 1 park in the John Mayer segment on Nightline tonight?
Yea, I caught it and really like this guy.
Also you can catch some DUMBO and Front Street in the piece. Check it out;
