    this is off topic, but

    WHY ARE WE ON THE FLIGHT PATH NOW?

    I thought it was a weather thing or something, but now it’s been days and I’m starting to think that Park Slope has managed to get the planes to fly over us instead of them. You think it’s not possible? Do you know the power of Park Slopers?

    ABC – It seems that we’re the preferred route whenever it’s rainy, cloudy, or foggy. (There’s actually something about it that I like.)

    Thanks bornhere. That’s what I thought too, but it seems like it’s been going on for awhile now. Altho it’s stopped now hasn’t it? So maybe I can stop fearing the Park Slope mafia? Nah.

    The Park Slope flight paths were approaches into La Guardia. I’ve noticed this evening that were several low flying wide body planes with international livery (Swissair MD-11, Virgin A-340, e.g.), which leads me to believe there was a temporary re-routing of JFK flight paths due to some bizarre weather condition (high winds?) at a low ceiling. Just speculating.
