Anyone know what’s going into the space, most recently occupied by the Pierhouse showroom, on the ground floor of the St. George Tower? Looks like a lot of little rooms so far.

Tax time is nearly upon us. I don’t doubt that my neighbors will, unlike the President, cooperate with the IRS and file dutifully.

Get your trolling right. Trump has filed and is being audited. He just hasn’t “released” his returns. #AlternateFacts

Here another old postcard, this time showing a view of the Heights and downtown Brooklyn from an airplane over Manhattan. Note that with the exception of the St. George and Towers Hotels, the rest of BH is lowrise. Note the old piers along the riverfront. Click on image to see it at full size:

Massage parlor? Happy ending a specialty!

If he is being audited at all.

It’s likely, based on his track record, that his taxes will contain some dishonest and exploitative reporting. I don’t need him to release them or conceal them to be confident of that.

More over, though, this doesn’t seem like a relevant topic for this venue.

107 Columbia Heights, the JW building on Columbia Heights that also fronts on Orange and Willow Streets, has been sold for $88 million. Article in The Real Deal here:

anyone have any details on the renovations happening in the assumption rectory on middagh?

  • Jorale-man

Can we agree that the dirty snow banks don’t add much to the ambience of the Heights right now? And is it me or is the jack-hammering from the hospital demolition in Cobble Hill getting louder?

    Time for spring.

There was coverage here in the BHB, and here’s a longer, more detailed article in the Eagle about the coming changes:

Noticed the landlord at 125 Montague filed plans on Feb. 15 to make way for a child care center.

    Job Description
“CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY ON 2ND FLOOR FROM OFFICES TO CHILD CARE FACILITY UG 3A”

The rationale to observe beyond one’s neighborhood is the dictum to think globally. What’s the harm in that?

  • ColumbiaHeightster

It looks like 125 Montague is the building that already houses New York Kids Club on the 2nd floor (whose street address is on Henry), which is already a child care facility. Probably just administrative paperwork.

I’m not getting anything I can understand. Went here:

You’re right, thanks. I didn’t get the job link posted. I think this will work:

  • Bob Grobe

Yikes, that didn’t paste in either. I give up on the direct link. It’s job number 321526158.

  • StudioBrooklyn

I didn’t mean to imply there was any harm in it. More that it just feels off topic here.

  • Jorale-man

yes, spring is such a prolonged process here in the northeast. Let’s hope next week’s predicted 50s are the start of something.

  • Sweeties

Good guess. Spa/Massage parlor it is.
