Park Progress Special: Granite Steps at Pier 1 Now Open.
Although the Pier 1 portion of Brooklyn Bridge Park was opened over a month ago, the magnificent granite steps facing the East River and Manhattan, so inviting for sitting and contemplating the view, have been closed to the public until yesterday.
