This weekend — late Friday evening, February 9 to early Monday morning, February 12 — there will be no service in either direction at High Street, as A and C trains will be re-routed to the F line between Jay Street-MetroTech and West 4th Street-Washington Square. This means more service at York Street in DUMBO. There will also be no service in either direction at the 4/5 platforms at Borough Hall, as 4 trains will not be serving Brooklyn, and 5 trains do not normally serve Brooklyn on weekends. For those traveling to or from Brooklyn, 3 trains will be making all 4 stops between Borough Hall and New Lots Avenue, and 2 trains, which will be on a reduced schedule (every 12 minutes) will also make all 4 stops between Borough Hall and Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College. For those traveling to or from the east Side of Manhattan, you can transfer between the 2/3 and the 4/5 at Fulton Street. There’s a bonus this weekend. N trains, which normally run on the Q line during the day, will be running on the R line all day Saturday and Sunday, and R trains should be running normally, so there will be more service than usual in both directions at Court Street and the N/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech.
The following work week the only planned service change affecting local stations is that late night Thursday, February 15 to early Friday morning, February 16 there will be no Brooklyn bound service at High Street, as Brooklyn bound A and C trains will be re-routed to the F line from West 4th street-Washington Square to Jay Street-MetroTech. This will mean more Brooklyn bound service at York Street in DUMBO.
These are the PLANNED service changes for this weekend and for the following week. Always check MTA Info for unplanned service changes that may affect local service or service on other parts of your trip, or for planned service changes that affect stations to or from which you may be traveling.
