P.S. 8, Like Hollywood, Readies Summer Blockbuster Sequel

From the BHB Inbox comes word that kids at P.S. 8 have cooked up a sequel to last year’s blockbuster play Soldea Island:

P.S. 8 Invites You to Return to Soldea Island

It’s time to journey back to the magical island of Soldea, home of the Urples and the Eenies, in P.S. 8’s second play Return to Soldea Island.

In this new, eco-friendly production, written and preformed by third, fourth and fifth grade drama students, the islanders face a new problem. A deceitful business man comes to the island with a proposition to build a luxurious new hotel, and when things go terribly wrong the whole island is in danger. What will the islanders do? Come to the play and find out.

Performances are Wednesday, May 27th and Thursday, May 28th at 6:00 pm in the P.S. 8 Auditorium, 37 Hicks Street, Brooklyn.

    This is a truly a collaborative effort between the teachers, led by the amazing Noelle Gentile and Angie Nelson, the kids, parents and students from Parsons who have designed the sets.

    My hope is that some of the critics of the school (based solely on its DoE grade) will come and see for themselves what an incredible school this is that fosters great learning and opportunity for all.
