Tomorrow’s Open Streets Montague will feature lots of activities for children as well as adults. From one to three PM between Henry and Hicks Super Soccer Stars (photo by C Scales for BHB) will again offer kids under five lessons in soccer skills, including “scoring goals, dribbling, and zigzagging, from the pros.” The pop-up blooms will be back between Henry and Hicks streets from noon to five PM. Nearby, from three to five PM kids can frolic in a Fantasy Villge. From noon until five between Clinton and Henry there will be a Kids’ Zone offering “giant games, street chalk and more.” Between Henry and Hicks from onr to four PM both kids and adults can visit the Brooklyn Public Library’s Bookmoble where they can “[b]rowse a variety of books, get a library card, or use reference services through Bookmobile staff.” Relax to the music of guitar and vocal duo Rogue Connections from one to two PM between Henry and Hicks.
As always on Saturdays in July, from noon until five if you take a child ages 1 through 10 to Mad for Chicken, 80 Montague (betweeen Hicks and Pierrepont Place) and order an entree, the child will get a free serving of three chicken tenders and fries.
