Open Streets Montague this Saturday, July 8, will offer a variety of activities. As always there will be a “Kids Zone” with “giant games [see photo], street chalk & more” between Henry and Hicks from noon until 5:00 PM. Also between Henry and Hicks from noon until five the pop-up blooms will be in place. From one until three kids four and older may help to construct a fantasy village among the blooms with Le Meraviglie. From noon until two The Free Art Dude will be wandering the length of the event, Clinton to Henry and Henry to Hicks, handing out free (one to a customer) postcard size reproductions of famous art works. If you have any questions about, say, pontillism or les fauves, I’m sure he’d be glad to answer them.
As always on Saturdays in June and July, from noon until five if you take a child ages 1 through 10 to Mad for Chicken, 80 Montague (betweeen Hicks and Pierrepont Place) and order an entree, the child will get a free serving of three chicken tenders and fries.
