The best April Fool stories are humorous and clever and, most important, do not cause anguish for those involved. This upset a lot of people, and so fails the test.

Anybody who is “anguished” by that story has a much bigger problem than being a little gullible. “Brixtony” is – no surprise – much better grounded than you are. Kudos to Chris Smith for his creativity!
