Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

This weekend – late Friday night, October 8 to early Monday morning, October 11 – there will be no service in either direction at High Street, as A and C trains will both be diverted to the F line between Jay Street/MetroTech and West 4th Street in Manhattan. For A/C service you can use the York Street station in DUMBO. To reach or come from A/C stations in lower Manhattan use the E train and transfer to or from the A or C at West 4th, or to or from Fulton Street use the J train between there and Delancey/Essex streets. Late nights to early mornings Friday to Saturday, Saturday to Sunday, and Sunday to Monday there will be no Brooklyn bound service at Court Street or at the N/R platforms at Jay Street/Metro Tech, but Manhattan bound N trains will be running during those hours. 4 trains provide alternative service.

The following work week – Monday morning, October 11 through Friday evening, October 15 – There will be minimal planned disruptions to service at local stations. Each morning from about 7:30 to 9:00 some 5 trains will be diverted to the 2 line. Monday to Friday late nights to early morning, there will be no Brooklyn bound service at High Street except that there will be Brooklyn bound C train service Thursday night to Friday morning. Brooklyn bound A and C trains are being diverted to the F line between West 4th in Manhattan and Jay Street-MetroTech.

These are the PLANNED service changes for the coming weekend and following work week. If you’re planning to take a train not affected by these planned changes, we urge you to first check New MTA Info to see if there are any unplanned service disruptions.
