Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

This weekend – Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 (C trains normally do not operate during late night hours, with A trains making local stops) – C trains will originate and terminate at Canal Street in Manhattan, so service to and from High Street and Jay Street-MetroTech will be by A trains only. If you’re coming from or going to stops above West 4th Street in Manhattan you may transfer between the A and C there.  Also, the A will not be running between Jay Street and Utica Avenue in Brooklyn, with local and express buses providing alternative service. A trains will run, making all local stops, between Utica and Euclid avenues.

The following work week – Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13 – late nights from about 11:45 p.m. until about 5:00 a.m. there will be no Brooklyn bound service at High Street, as Brooklyn bound A trains (no C service late at night) will be diverted to the F line between Canal and Jay streets. Use those stations as options, or use 2, 4, or N trains. During late nights Tuesday to Friday there will be extra Manhattan bound service at Court Street and at Jay, as Q trains will be diverted to the N/R line between DeKalb Avenue and Canal Street.

These are the PLANNED service changes for the coming weekend and following work week that directly affect service at local stations. If you’re planning to take a train not affected by these planned changes, we urge you to first check MTA Info to see if there are any unplanned service disruptions. Also, always check MTA Info for planned or unplanned changes that may affect your trip on other parts of the system.
