Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz hosted a Blogger Breakfast this morning at Borough Hall.   BHB’s Homer Fink, Claude Scales, Mrs. Fink and Sarah Portlock attended as well as representatives of many other Brooklyn blogs including Brownstoner, Flatbush Gardner, Ditmas Park Blog, Only the Blog Knows Brooklyn, Atlantic Yards Report, Pardon Me for Asking, Noticing New York, and Gerritsenbeach.net, as well as New York Times “The Local” blogger Andy Newman.   The un-term limited Beep has announced that he’s running for a third term.

    how did he get to term limits from Homer’s question? I don’t see the connection. Still, seems like a decent fellow.

    I have to admit that I’ve always had a soft spot for Marty’s Hilda-Chester-ish-cowbell-clanging approach to Brooklyn. Too bad that he chooses to evoke an earlier era while allowing developers to pave it over.To his credit however, he did allow them to turn Williamsburgh into an area that people strive to get into rather than one they pray to get away from.
