Development Action on Pineapple

The Brooklyn Eagle reports that the new owners of 71, 73 & 75 Pineapple Street plan to build on the vacant lot at 73 Pineapple and that the retail space at 75 Pineapple is being cleaned up:

The new owners of the vacant lot at 73 Pineapple St., near Henry Street, who also purchased the two adjoining buildings at 71 and 75 Pineapple, have filed a preliminary permit application with the Department of Buildings (DOB) to construct a new 10-unit, 6,984-square-foot, five-story, 50-foot-tall residential building (50 feet is the maximum allowed under the special height restriction in the Brooklyn Heights Historic District).

It is not known if the new owners plan to connect the new building with the existing two.

The space at 75 Pineapple was previously a bar.  Anyone remember it?

75 Pineapple – I thought it was a Mexican restaurant. Last I saw it open was probably 6-7 years ago. I had never been in there.
