Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

Barring unforeseen events, the long Labor Day weekend will be a green light weekend for local subway service, as there are no planned service changes that directly affect service at local stations. Indeed, once again we have extra service to Manhattan from Court and Jay streets, as Manhattan bound N and Q trains are being diverted to the R line from 11:00 PM Friday, August 31 to 5:00 AM Tuesday, September 4.

The following work week — Tuesday, September 4 to Friday, September 7 — on late nights things get complicated. Each night from 9:45 PM to 5:00 Am 3 trains won’t be running to or from Brooklyn, but 2 and 4 trains will provide alternative service, with 4 trains making all 3 stops between Atlantic and New Lots avenues.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, and for unplanned disruptions, see MTA Info.
