This weekend, from 10:45 PM Friday, January 5 to 5:00 AM Monday, January 8, there will be no 2 and 3 train service (meaning no service at Clark Street or on the 2/3 platforms at Borough Hall), which will be a fact of life every weekend until sometime next summer. As usual, during the absence of 2/3 service, 4 and 5 (5 trains don’t usually serve Brooklyn on weekends) will provide alternate service to and into Brooklyn. From 9:30 PM Friday to 5:00 AM Monday F trains will not serve York Street in DUMBO or the F stations in the Lower East Side in either direction, with shuttle buses replacing the F between the LES stations and West 4th, where you can catch an A, C or D (which is being diverted to the A/C line to and from High street at Jay Street-Metro Tech), or change to a shuttle bus to the LES there. There will also be shuttle bus service between Jay Street and York Street. During these same weekend hours there will be extra traffic in both directions at Court Street, as N trains join the R on the local line.
The following work week, each night Monday, January 8 through Wednesday, January 10 from 9:30 PM to 5:00 AM, A trains will be diverted to the F line in both directions between West 4th Street and Jay Street-Metro Tech. This means no service at High Street, as C trains don’t run late at night. Use York street or Jay Street as options.
For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, and for unplanned disruptions, see MTA Info.
