“F” may be Kathleen Edwards’ favorite letter, but it’s no one’s favorite train (along with the 2 and 3, which won’t be serving Brooklyn on weekends for some months to come) in Brooklyn Heights or DUMBO this coming weekend (11:30 PM Friday, September 8 to 5:00 AM Monday, September 11), as F trains in both directions will be diverted to the Q line between Lexington Avenue/63rd Street and Atlantic Avenue/Barclays Center. This means no service at York Street in DUMBO. During these same hours, D trains will be diverted to the A line between 59th Street/Columbus Circle and Jay Street/Metro Tech, and from there into and from Brooklyn on the F line. Other lines serving the Heights — 4, 5 (which serves Brooklyn on weekends during the 2/3 tunnel work), A, C, R and (late night) R — should be running normally.
The following work week — Monday, September 11 to Friday, September 15 — there are no planned cancellations, route diversions, or station skips that directly affect service at any local stations.
For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, and for unplanned disruptions, see MTA Info.
