I was unclear, I meant to say it doesn’t matter what signature is on the check. But yes, a signature must be present.

what do you get out of antagonizing for no reason on an xmas tree post? would like to understand that sociopathy. thanks.

  • DIBS

Nothing to contribute to the discussion? When one sees a bit of sarcasm as sociopathy, I think you are the one with the problem. Maybe recent political events have you all in a huff and your persepecive is off. Step back and breathe. Thanks.

  • Greg

    Well said, redlola.

Lola raises a really good point, and asks a very good question, which you didn’t answer. “what do you get out of antagonizing for no reason on an xmas tree post?”

A bunch of old geezers here all riled up? A jab at the “organic” crowd? I mean really, organic Christmas trees? I hope the clapboards used on BH frame renovationd are organic. See where one can go with this? For the record, I love Christmas probably more than most here.

  • ColumbiaHeightster

So, still no answer, huh? Cool, thanks a bunch.

  • DIBS

    Those were my answers. Sheesh.

  • ColumbiaHeightster

“I love Christmas probably more than most here” says the guy knocking folks who sell Christmas trees for a living.

  • DIBS

You really need a hobby or something. Or maybe a drink to get you into the Christmas spirit. If that’s even possible.

  • DIBS

Lat spring I helped a friend in NH gather sap and take it to a small sugar house. It really was an incredible process. But I think you are right, VT syrup is the best!

“a drink to get you into the Christmas spirit”

Swashbuckler of a pun, there, DIBS. ;)

Looks like there’s a fire on State Street. I can see it partially out my window. Anyone have details?

Thrilled to see on this morning’s walk with the dog that the Columbus Park renovation is done and all the gates are gone!

I used to buy inorganic foods, but the pebbles played hell with my teeth and digestion…

Does anyone have a recommendation for pest control/exterminator? Pesticide free is strongly preferable. Thank you, neighbors.

Horrible news: BookCourt will be closing on December 31st, after 35 years in business. Expect more coverage about this in coming days in a wide variety of news sources.

  • ColumbiaHeightster

Horrible news indeed. My wife and I were just lamenting this earlier today.

  • Reggie

When was the expansion? Seems like only a couple years ago but I sometimes I have no sense of time.

  • Andrew Porter

Not sure. But Gothamist article from this morning is here:
