Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

Ugh. This weekend shapes up as worse than the last. Once again, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, June 24 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, June 27 there will be no service in either direction at the 4/5 platforms at Borough Hall, as 4 trains will terminate and originate at Bowling Green in Manhattan, and 5 trains do not serve Brooklyn on weekends. During this same period A and C trains will be diverted to the F line in both directions between Jay Street-Metro Tech and West 4th Street, so there will be no service in either direction at High Street all weekend. Also, there will be no G train service in either direction between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue, but A and F trains will provide alternative service, although note that Coney Island bound F trains will be running express during this same time. Late nights (11:15 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.) the following week, Monday, June 27 to Friday, July 1, G trains also will not run in either direction between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue; A and F trains and free shuttle buses will provide alternative service. From 11:45 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the same nights Manhattan bound A trains will run on the F line between Jay Street-Metro Tech and West 4th Street, so there will be no Manhattan bound service at High street (C trains do not run late at night).

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
