This Sunday afternoon, April 10 at 4:00, Congregation Mount Sinai, 250 Cadman Plaza West, at Tillary Street, will present “Making the Music Our Own”, a concert by Eugene Marlow’s Heritage Ensemble. The Ensemble has been described as “an imaginative and tight quintet that melds the melodic & rhythmic commonalities among Jazz, Hebraic, Afro-Caribbean & Brazilian musical cultures.” (Did you know that the first Jews to arrive in New York, then called Nieuw Amsterdam, came here from Brazil?)
Tickets are $25, or $10 for students; to purchase call 718-875-9124 or e-mail info@congregationmountsinai.org Update: You may order tickets online here.
Thanks to James Goldman for the tip.
