We have word from Community Board 2 that there will be a memorial vigil for Brooklyn Heights resident and art curator Victoria Nicodemus, who died on December 6 when an SUV jumped a curb and struck her on the sidewalk. The vigil will begin at 6:30 p.m. this coming Tuesday, December 22, at the site of the accident, Fulton Street and Portland Avenue, near the Habana Outpost, in Fort Greene. There will be an art installation in her memory. The event is presented by City Council Member Laurie Cumbo along with Indiewalls (Ms. Nicodemus’ employer), artist Mark Samsonovich, and Transportation Alternatives. There’s more information here.
