Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

Once again, because of the need to repair damage caused by Hurricane Sandy to the tunnels used by A and C trains between Brooklyn and Manhattan, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, August 21 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, August 24 both Brooklyn and Manhattan bound A and C trains will be diverted to the F line between Jay Street/Metro Tech and West 4th Street. This means no service at all at High Street. To get to or from A/C stops in Manhattan below West 4th use the 2 or 3 to or from Clark Street or Borough Hall as an option. This is the last weekend for this planned diversion.

The following week–Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4–there will be no G train service between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue each night from 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. A and F trains provide alternate service. During rush hours Monday through Friday R train service will be less frequent than normal because of track maintenance.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
