Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

It’s another weekend of A and C train diversion; something that will be going on for a while. From 11:45 p.m. Friday, August 7 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, August 10 both Brooklyn and Manhattan bound A and C trains will be diverted to the F line between Jay Street/Metro Tech and West 4th Street. This means no service at all at High Street. To get to or from A/C stops in Manhattan below West 4th use the 2 or 3 to or from Clark Street or Borough Hall as an option. On Saturday or Sunday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. don’t be surprised if you see a Manhattan bound N train at Court Street or Jay Street/Metro Tech. They are being diverted to the R line during those hours, so there will be extra Manhattan bound service.

The following week, each night from Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14 between the hours of 11:45 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Brooklyn bound A trains will be diverted to the F line between West 4th Street and Jay Street. This means no service from Manhattan to High Street during theses hours; use the 2 train to Clark Street (the 3 doesn’t run during these hours) as an option.

There are no other planned changes directly affecting service at local stations this coming weekend or the week following. For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
