The Brooklyn Women’s Exchange (photo), 55 Pierrepont Street, will be open tomorrow (Friday, June 5) and Saturday, June 6, but will then close for the summer, re-opening in September. Come in to enjoy end-of-season sale prices on many items. Store hours are 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday.
This weekend is also your last chance to see Theater 2020’s THE Real MERRY HouseWIVES OF WINDSOR, Connecticut at historic St. Charles Borromeo Church. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00, and Sunday afternoon at 3:00.
On Friday evening at 8:00 Bargemusic will present pianist Jerome Lowenthal performing a concert “In Homage to Alfred Cortot,” featuring works by Chopin, Faure, Webern, and Franck-Cortot. On Saturday evening at 8:00 cellist Nicholas Canellakis and pianist Michael Brown will play works by Schumann, Strauss, Webern, and Chopin. On Sunday afternoon at 4:00 a quartet of outstanding musicians will play works by Beethoven, Luna Perl Woolf, Nokothula Nwengyama, and Brahms. Ms. Nwengyama will play viola. There’s more information and buy tickets here. Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
On Sunday at 11:00 a.m. meet at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 1 entrance near the foot of Old Fulton Street for a free guided park tour. Also on Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Smorgasburg will be on the Pier 5 uplands, near the foot of Joralemon Street. A Sing For Hope Piano will be on the Pier 1 esplanade from tomorrow through June 21.
