The meeting of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Community Advisory Council, originally scheduled for last Tuesday but postponed because of weather, is this Tuesday evening, February 3, at 6:30 to 9:00, at Congregation Mount Sinai, 250 Cadman Plaza West. According to the Eagle:
Supporters of Save the View Now say they will be asking the CAC to pass a resolution calling for a halt of the construction of the Pierhouse hotel-condo complex at the north end of the park, next to Pier 1.
The Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation has already secured a stop work order on construction of the southern, or Parcel B, portion of the Pierhouse complex in order to assure that it will not interfere with the designated and protected view plane from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. STVN seeks a halt to all construction and removal of portions of the northern portion of the Pierhouse in order to comply with a 2005 agreement limiting the height of any structure on that site. All are invited to attend.
