Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

This weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, October 24 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, Manhattan bound A and C trains will be diverted to the F line between Jay Street/Metro Tech and West 4th Street. This means no Manhattan bound C trains at High Street. To get to destinations in Manhattan below 4th Street, other than the Lower East Side stops on the F line, use the 2 or 3 from Clark Street, the 4 from Borough Hall, or the R from Court Street. For the umpteenth squared time, if you’re traveling into Brooklyn, be aware that, from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday, the 2, 3, and 4 trains going in that direction won’t be stopping at Bergen Street, Grand Army Plaza, or Eastern Parkway. To get to these stations, you’ll need to ride to Franklin Avenue and catch a Manhattan bound train back to the skipped station.

The following week, from 11:45 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night, Monday, October 27 to Friday, October 31, Brooklyn bound A trains will be diverted to the F line between West 4th Street and Jay Street/Metro Tech. This means no service from Manhattan to High Street. To get to Brooklyn from lower Manhattan (other than the LES stations on the F line) use the 2, 3, 4, or R.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
