The likes of me?! What exactly does that mean? And my post was no more of an attack than your post. I just was pointing out what I consider the hypocrisy of your post considering that you are content to enjoy the cloak of anonymity.

No kidding, but this country is not one of them. And it doesn’t mean that one should not follow the rules — which ultimately amounts to courtesy to others — when enjoying the benefits of this blog. Your insinuation that any request to limit Marsha’s posts brings to mind fascism is either absurd or indicative of your lack of understanding of what fascism is.

Nah, I don’t think you understand how quickly things can change and this country is not immune, especially when you look at the trends. In the meantime, skimming works ;-0

In fact, here’s a little taste of it in our own town:
Got woken up last night around 1:00 AM to a male and female screaming they were ” god”. good times.

If I wasn’t running the NYC Marathon, I would be all over this.

Thumbs up to the manager at Gristedes. Their credit card system went down last night. They had a huge line of people buying food. I only had 4 items and he told me to just come back the next day and bring him $12. I went back today to drop off the cash. He didn’t think I would and told me to keep the money. Very nice guy.
DIBS
Forget it. He obviously doesn’t understand

um..there is no manager there…i think some stranger told you to leave without paying!

There are managers there! There are 3 managers that I know and then the deli manager too. My daughter and I visit the store frequently since we basically go every morning, a habit I’ve had for years. There have been a few times to be glad that we are in BKHeights, because customer service has always been great for us and I know we wouldn’t get the same service elsewhere in the city…
MonroeOrange
it was a joke!
MonroeOrange
maybe it was G-D…every think of that???? hmmmmm
miriamcb
Haha – tightly wound day for me!
MonroeOrange
sounds like a quitters attitude…lace up your shoes and get out there!

What are everyone’s favorite 5Ks in the city? I’m looking to sign up for some this Fall/Winter. I’m fine with 4m races too – I just want to do them leisurely and not feel overly competitive.
I see the one that is posted below (which reminded me that I meant to ask all the runners out there!).

my server at noodle pudding was especially lovely. This weekend the Atlantic Antic happened. There is a great sale at Banana Republic. I want you to the read the following, “i”ssues.

wait there is a new building on Montague? what’s next, are they going to close the library too?!
MonroeOrange
um Marsha…i think he/she was talking about you!
MonroeOrange
SHOW IT!
MonroeOrange
Marsha…no further comment?! what! don’t let them silence you!

It’s outside the BH landmark area, between the Archstone and the corner building. Then there’s the possible hotel at the former site of the Cohen Optical store. Weirdly, the building has a modern facade on Montague, the old one on Pierrepont.
But the rest of BH, within the Landmarked area, will not change, except for infill buildings, like 20 Henry, the Heights Cinema bldg., etc.

Doug, aren’t you happy you *weren’t* elected? Think how much less time you’d have to post stuff here…

My favorite 5K is the balance I have in my checking account. But then, I’m not a runner; I’m a fast walker (but not by the standards of David on Middagh).

You might try posting your question on Runner’s World in the “New York City Marathon” forum. There’s no charge to create an account and post.
Several NYC runners frequent that forum and I’m sure they’d be helpful. The URL is:
