Brooklyn Heights Cinema owner Kenn Lowy tells the paper:
NYDN: The customers are generally one-time visitors, drawn only by the deal, but it’s still extra business, Lowy said.
“It’s definitely 50 people who would not have shown up,” he said.
He compares the service to Groupon but says Dealflicks’ 15% fee is a fraction of what the discount giant wanted to charge him.
“The folks at Dealflicks want to get their foot in the door,” Lowy said.
“But they also don’t want to rip people off.”
