I came here to wax expansive on Saturday’s rainy sunset, which gave us a cloudy mauve sky embedding an electric-cantaloupe sun. (See the painting in Mrs. Fink’s photo at top for a remarkable prefiguration.)
Those who were gazing in the drizzle may have seen the clouds first rectangularize the sun into a brilliant little box, then split it like a double-hung window. For a few moments, a cosmological Rothko hovered to the east side of Manhattan, which is something I don’t expect to see again in my life.

I would love to, but I can’t because of work. If they wanted volunteers on Saturdays…

Hey everyone, My name is Jon R. and I’ve been using the same male babysitter (Philip) several times when our main nanny is going away for a few hours every weekend or spare tuesday etc. He is excellent. I have three kids, and two of them have Autism. Philip is partially trained in ABA therapy for kids with autism. He is 17 years old, and a Junior at a local private high school. Sadly my work is moving me out of NYC, but I am trying to find Philip more babysitting jobs because he has been so excellent with our kids. He lives in Brooklyn Heights and is comfortable with traveling. Please feel free to contact me or Philip directly at phil.fields25@gmail.com. Thanks so much! Jon..
