This is a big weekend for live theater in Brooklyn Heights. Theater 2020’s Candide opens Friday–Valentine’s Day–evening at St. Charles Borromeo Church. On Friday evening the Brooklyn Chamber Music Society will present a concert in the small chapel of the First Unitarian Church, on Pierrepont Street between Monroe Place and Clinton. The program includes Salomon’s arrangement of Haydn’s “Clock” Symphony, Schubert’s Trockne Blumen, and a quintet for piano and strings by the Russian composer anton Arensky. More details here.
