Come at 7:30 to socialize with BHA representatives and neighbors while enjoying red wine donated by Montague Wine & Spirits. The movie, Robert Redford’s All Is Lost, starts at 8:00. Admission is reduced: $10 adults, $8 children/students, and $7 seniors. Addendum: 12 Years a Slave will also be showing that night, and the Cinema is offering the same ticket discount for it.

I saw ‘All is Lost’ at the Brooklyn Heights Cinema on Friday afternoon, and the print was in very bad shape. Lots of nasty scratches, which lasted for long stretches…Very distracting and annoying. Sure glad I only paid the matinee price.

And the voice recordings for upcoming showings should be kept up-to-date. Ex: Weekend times should be recorded Thursday night or early Friday. It never fails: I’ll call Friday around noon, and still won’t know what’s going on for that afternoon. FYI: Some of us who don’t have Wi-Fi at home, still rely on the phone for info.

Note – While we totally support BHA events, BHB is not an official sponsor of this screening. Many of us will be there to toast a great year and we encourage all of you to join us!
