Tale Of The Tweet: 150 Joralemon Literally Dumps On Citi Bike Share In Brooklyn Heights

Twitter user @duckumu shared a photo of the Citi Bike Share docking station at 150 Joralemon Street covered in what appears to be the building’s garbage (or at least its paper/recycling pile). As previously reported, the building is at odds with the city and the bike share program over the docking station near the property.

Let’s see the stats for Yankee stadium and Citi Field in January or February. Or Central Park ballfields, etc. You truly, are reliably stupid.

“big bank advertising” the most asinine of all your arguments. Corporate logos are ubiquitous in our society. all the cars and trucks have them, most of the commercial signage is displaying them, and even the pedestrians are wearing them. And a logo alone is hardly “advertising” There are no posters on the kiosks advertising banking services. Besides, the word “Bank” isn’t even on the bikes they say Citi Bike.

Didn’t think you’d have the brass to show up back here after we caught you in that baldfaced lie last week. But I guess you have no shame.

    Bike Share
Miles traveled since launch: 263,456 miles

That’s more than the distance to the Moon!

we have subways and busses use them get rid of these bikes now and this garbage citibikes

  • Joe A

We have subways and busses use them get rid of these automobiles now.

Doesn’t that sound just as silly?

  • Quinn Raymond

I encourage the residents of 150 Joralemon to confront their co-op board on this issue. It does not reflect well on the building as it relates to the broader community.

  • MonroeOrange

the chains will rust very quikly…have you ever used a bike????????? that will make these bikes unusable..perhaps it is you who should actually do the research….you 3 really should all get one bike and ride around the neighborhood together! and i hope none of you wears a helmet…have a pleasant day

  • MonroeOrange

what lie…i’ve already explained to you how i used the bike…should you not believe me i could care less….

  • MonroeOrange

certainly could have been, though it can also be some bumpkin from out of town who didn’t know any better…you must have relatives in town?

  • Joe A

MO you keep talking like this is some experiment being tried for the very first time. Bike share programs are in hundreds of cities and have been for dozens of years. You just spew absolute nonsense like some mentally ill person in a public park.

Aw man you got shame in my shame…for shame!

Thanks Quinn. I also know a resident of the building — I’ll say something to them.

MonroeOrange, clearly you don’t understand basic material sciences. The metals used in these bikes DO. NOT. RUST. Not the frame, not the wheels, not the chain.

How do we know this? Because the same bikes have been used in Montreal Canada for years now. You know — Montreal, that city that gets an average of 7.5 FEET of snow every year. (As opposed to New York that gets an average of 2 feet and more and more often, that all seems to come in one big snowfall.)

Just because you once had a bike with a rusty chain doesn’t mean every bike chain on the planet is made of a material that rusts.

  • MonroeOrange

what…that makes no sense…there is no baseball in those months but this program will be taking up space in our neighborhood during those months, so therefore lets look at the stats in those months…im not sure how to even debate with you when you clearly don’t have basic comprehension skills…good luck to you in the real world.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlsiLOnWCoI Arch Stanton

The chains are stainless steel which does not rust, Moron.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlsiLOnWCoI Arch Stanton

Yes thats the lie, LOL so why did your friend who you claim “hates the idea of city bike on many levels” pay $103.43 for a annual pass?
Like you, it makes no sense at all. LOL

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlsiLOnWCoI Arch Stanton

Love it how you didn’t respond to my comment. LOL

  • MonroeOrange

Arch..i unlike you, actually don’t hang on every word you say, especially when you are wrong…but if you want me to respond fine…citi bike is clearly a play on citi bank and therefore is advertising…in case you weren’t aware..the word city is spelled with a y…if its not an advertisement, then it should say CityBike……you also say its not on the kiosk…its all over the bike and racks…look at the picture! how about we hang signs on the bikes for local mom and pop stores, not big banks that clearly don’t need the additional revenue this type of advertising will bring…..but if you want to look at bank advertising all day long that’s up to you…

You appear to have severe problems with reading comprehension, do you suffer from a learning disability?
