On Sunday evening, April 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 the Brooklyn Heights Cinema, 70 Henry Street (at Orange) will celebrate “40 years of films being shown at the same location” with an evening of comedy, featuring NPR’s Ophira Eisenberg, along with Shelly Colman and Sean Donnelly, and surprise guests, followed by wine and snacks at Bevacco. Details are here. Tomorrow (Thursday, April 25) evening at 9:00, there will be a sneak preview of Mud, starring Matthew McConaughey, written and directed by Jeff Nichols. Bargemusic has two “Masterworks” concerts scheduled. On Friday evening at 8:00 there will be piano music by Mozart. Saturday at 8:00 p.m. there will be performances of works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky on violin, cello, and piano. On Saturday afternoon at 3:00 (doors open at 2:30) there’s a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert. More details here.
