State Senator Daniel Squadron, whose district includes Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, DUMBO, and other Brooklyn neighborhoods, along with lower Manhattan, will host his fifth annual Community Convention at Borough of Manhattan Community College, 199 Chambers Street, on Sunday afternoon, April 28, from 2:00 to 5:00. The location switches between Brooklyn and Manhattan in alternate years. These Conventions have featured speakers, including the Senator and other elected officials, on current topics of interest, as well as break out groups in which attendees can discuss their particular concerns. According to the Senator, what he’s learned at these gatherings of constituents has been “critical in shaping my work in Albany and at home over the last year.”
