Last Minute Vote Reminder

There’s a primary election Thursday, September 13, which begins 29 minutes from when I’m posting this. The Brooklyn Heights Association gives the following info:

Tomorrow, poll sites will open at 5 AM and close at 9 PM. If you need to look up your polling site, click here.

There are two candidates for Civil Court Judge: Lara Genovese and Richard Montelione.

For the position of 52nd Assembly District Leader, you will see two names on the ballet although Jo Anne Simon, who is currently serving as our District Leader, is the only candidate in this race. Deborah Scotto has suspended her campaign. But because Scotto’s decision came after the Board of Election’s deadline to be removed from the ballot, her name will still appear.

Be sure to follow the link above and check your polling place; a number of addresses (including mine) have been assigned new sites.

Too late now, but for future reference, polls open at 6.

Every campaign annoyed me with phone calls. I was going to flip a coin, but in the end, my vote in each race went to whichever candidate did not call me last before I voted. Since I received a call from the unopposed Simon, I voted for the withdrawn candidate whose name was still on the ballot.

I usually go with whoever Koch didn’t endorse.
