    @LISA, maybe because it’s a construction site?

  • eg

    I believe that was the closest site that they could get. There were some complications with the set-up.

    They take up a LOT of space on the ground — there is no room anymore on the north side of the ‘site’, so they were moved south a bit.

    I’d also be interested in a recommendation for a reasonably priced contractor for bathroom and general floor work.

    I’ve lived in this neighborhood for almost 30 years now, and have been a reliable, reasonably priced and highly skilled professional serving Brooklyn & Manhattan over the years. I have as well a very
    good support network.
    My contact info is on the website, Please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
    Hopefully I can help you get your bath project sorted!

    Lisa, this is merely a guess, but I would think that the two beams of light were more south because now that the WTC memorial is completed, construction has expanded outward for the museum and transit hub, forcing it more south. Again, just a guess.

  • j

    Because there is no longer a giant hole in the ground to beam the lights from where the WTC used to be and they had to move it somewhere else?
