Karl and Claude’s Excellent Culinary Adventure at Dine in Brooklyn Presser

Yesterday, Borough President Marty Markowitz hosted a Dine in Brooklyn (details on this forthcoming event are in Chuck Taylor’s post) preview tasting for the press at Borough Hall, and Karl, his cam, and your correspondent were there. Results: some taste thrills, two full tummies (yes, Karl did his share of eating, too), and a splattered shirt. Video after the jump.

Claude, you’ve done your bit so others can live (and die) free! Thanks to you both.

But where-o-where was the Great Wall table? And no mention of GW in Marty’s forty-five minute peroration?

    Lol, @AEB.

Hot restaurant tip: Battersby on Smith near Degraw. Incredible food by Blue Hill and Gramercy Tavern veteran chefs. Some of the best food I’ve had anywhere. They just got a NY Mag write up, so the word is out and the place is small (in half of the old Patois location). They don’t take reservations, but if you show up before 6:30 you can usually snag a table for two.

Thanks, Matthew. Will definitely try it.
