Garden Place Townhouse on Market for $10 Million

Curbed NY reports that the magnificent brownstone at 36 Garden Place (photo by Chuck Taylor for BHB) is available for a cool ten mil. More photos and text after the jump.

There’s plenty of sunlight in the spacious living room.

Red, red, red is the color of our foyer.

The piano and sculpture of two girls presumably are not included.

Here’s a kitchen from my wife’s dreams.

Of course, you’ll need a place to burn off the calories that kitchen produces.

Interested? Call Kenneth Mandelbaum at Brown Harris Stevens.

I hope they get it. They have put tons of love and money in to their home.

It would have been nice if they could change up the color palette a little in the kitchen. In fact the whole place seems to be a lot of the same. Not my style, but hopefully someone else likes it.

The big difference between this house and the one on Columbia Heights (that went for a comparable figure) is that the former is inside the block, the latter looks out onto the Promenade and the harbor, so there is tons of sunlight right up until sunset.

Also, as many on Brownstoner noted, these images have been heavily Photoshopped; stuff has been added to bare walls, etc.

Beautiful renovation. Wish I had the money.

Beautiful house. I would rather live on Garden Place than Columbia heights. Love the curtains.

but for that dough, I want a beautiful house, a private dock, a six car garage, tennis courts, a helipad, and a large English garden.

    Stuart,
I have a relative who lives in a lovely suburb outside of Buffalo in a town that was voted one of the safest towns in America!
Ten million would buy up all the houses in his gated community!
    I’d rather live here!

I have visited this home many times. The house is a gracious home, tasteful, and beautiful. It has the look and feel of a real home that has been lived in and cared for by a family for many, many years.

@Jane – that was the first thing I thought!
