Perhaps because his statue stands in front of the State Supreme Courthouse, facing Brooklyn Heights, Christopher Columbus has arranged for subway service on all lines serving all stations in or near the Heights to be running normally on this, his weekend. Those of you traveling to or from lower Manhattan should know that there will be no service on the “Lex” line (4 or 5) at the Fulton Street station. Fortunately, you have the options of the A, C, 2, or 3 from that same station, all of which will be running normally. If you’re traveling into Brooklyn, the 2 will not be operating between Franklin Avenue and its normal terminus at Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate services. Have a great weekend!
